Burger and Hot Dog Buns

This is made for 5 people, 1 burger 1 hot dog each. Burger buns 150g each, hot dod buns 110g each

  • 4.5 Cups All purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Yeast
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Warm water
  • 1/2 Cup Warm milk
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 tbsp Butter for brushing on top
  • Sesame seeds optional


  1. Add yeast into water and milk mix and let stand for 10 minutes till foamy

  2. Mix all other ingredients in mixing bowl

  3. All yeast water into flour mixture and start kneading, about 10 minutes till the dough is smooth

  4. Let rise in warm place for about an hour till double in size

  5. Divide dough as follows, 150g for burger buns and 110g for hot dog buns

  6. Shape buns and cover and let rise again till double in size

  7. Preheat over to 375

  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes till golden brown on top
